Agent Connect · Preview — beta testers welcome
Connect your AI agent to GiraffyReach.
Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible agent can search your First-to-Apply and Curated feeds and prepare applications for you — each with a resume tailored to that exact job from your master profile.
What it is
Agent Connect exposes your GiraffyReach account to your own AI agent over MCP (Model Context Protocol). You tell your agent things like "find fresh jobs that match me and prep the top five" — it reads your profile, searches the feeds, checks your limits, and queues preparations. GiraffyReach generates a resume tailored to each job; you get a recap email and finish each application on the company's career page with one click. Everything is scoped to your own account by a private, revocable link.

Security & data
- Your connector link is account-scoped and revocable any time from the Agent Connect page. Treat the URL like a password.
- Your agent sees only your own profile, job feed results, and application data — never other users' data.
- GiraffyReach never sends your data to Anthropic or OpenAI. Your agent pulls it under your own AI subscription, on your instruction.
- Job descriptions are third-party content; the connector labels them so agents treat them as data, not instructions.
- Server-side caps and validation apply to every call — an agent cannot exceed your plan's limits.
FAQ
Can my agent actually submit applications for me?
Yes, if you allow it. In your profile's Job Application Details tab, tick "Let my AI agents submit applications for me." Until then get_application_answers returns submit_allowed=false and the agent fills everything, logs the completed form, and asks you to review and click Submit. With it on, the agent submits and records it with mark_applied. Either way every field it fills is written to your tracker first (report_application_progress), so you can always see exactly what was sent. The Chrome extension is different: it always leaves the final Submit click to you.
What can the agent NOT do on a job site?
Solve CAPTCHAs (it stops and hands the page back to you), fill fields the site hides as bot traps (it is told which ones), or invent answers to essay questions — those come back to you as needs_user_input unless you gave an answer.
Why did a preparation fail?
The usual reasons: you already applied to that job, you hit the daily cap (50 preparations) or your resume-credit budget, your master profile or resume settings are not finalized, or — on trial accounts — your phone is not verified yet. Your agent sees the exact reason and can relay it.
Does the agent actually submit applications?
Not in this preview. First-to-Apply and Curated jobs live on company career pages, so your agent prepares everything — a resume tailored to the exact job plus the direct application link — and you finish with one click. Your tracker and recap email collect them all.
How do I disconnect an agent?
Revoke the connector link on the Agent Connect page in your dashboard. Access dies immediately for every agent using that link. Regenerating gives you a fresh link and kills the old one.
Does it cost extra?
Agent Connect is included with the Dominance plan — and free during your trial — while it is in preview (through Sep 30, 2026). Preparations use your normal daily resume-credit budget, shared with the web app and Autopilot.
What does "applied" mean in my tracker?
Applied is only marked when you actually applied — same rules as the web app. Agent preparations show as "Resume ready" until you finish on the career page.
